Coconut cake is a popular dessert in the Southern region of the United States.
While I am from the northeastern part of the country, the infamous southern cake known as coconut cake is one of my all-time favorite desserts to bake and serve especially during the holiday season.

Hatchett Hint: You can use the boxed Betty Crocker classic yellow cake, Betty Crocker white frosting, a package of sweetened coconut flakes and a can of lemon filling. Simply follow the recipe on the box and voilà you will have a delicious classic coconut cake that will impress your guests.
