Granola Goodness!

I am not a huge breakfast eater. I love breakfast food and will indulge on occasion, but it’s not part of my daily routine. I am working towards changing that for a few reasons; one there is some truth behind what they say, “breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” Two, eating a healthy breakfast is good any diet, but especially good for a diabetic diet. With that, I am a fan of granola, no matter what form it comes in, granola bars, granola cookies or just plan ole’ granola on its own, I love it. I recently came across a recipe for Slow Cooker Granola (it doesn’t get any easier than this) and tried it and of course added my own twists. It was YUM!

The aroma while the granola was slow cooking floated throughout the house, it smelled deliciously like Fall. I chose to eat it plain, but the kids ate theirs with a few different toppings; AJ had his with fresh berries and whipped topping. Kennedy topped hers with warm syrup.

A very easy recipe for a nice healthy breakfast meal!
