Bacon Wrapped Peaches with a Balsamic Glaze ... Oh My!

As the weather gets warmer, I have already decided that the grill whether it be indoor or outdoor it’s going to be my new best friend. I plan to grill anything and everything that is grill-able, healthy, and sometimes maybe not so healthy! LOL Tonight I opted to grill indoors and made bacon wrapped peaches drizzled with a balsamic glaze & topped with chopped fresh basil. When I tell you they are delicious, trust me … THEY ARE DELICIOUS! While they are both sweet and savory, they are low in calories. An absolute plus, right?!

The saltiness of the bacon kicks up the sweetness of the peaches and the balsamic drizzle adds another touch of sweet and tartness.

These scrumptious bites are perfect to serve as a light dinner, which in my case, I prepared a roasted red pepper & basil quinoa & brown rice blend with a whole wheat naan to go with it. But they can also be served as an appetizer when you entertain during the upcoming spring and summer months.

Riesling pairs well with both bacon and peaches, with that, I had a glass of dry Riesling with this yummy, yet light meal.
